All-new multiscale seven-string joins the 450 Series, while the T-407 adds a Satin Green option

Spira Guitars is expanding its seven-string line-up with the launch of the all-new S-457 Multiscale TBL, alongside a new Satin Green finish for the T-407. Both are available now.
The headline addition is the S-457 Multiscale, which takes Spira’s 450 Series in a new direction with a 25.5 to 27-inch multiscale layout.

The longer scale on the bass side gives extra tension and definition on the lower strings while keeping a familiar feel higher up the neck. It is aimed squarely at modern extended-range players who want clarity, control and playability across all seven strings.

Visually, it is one of the boldest additions to the Spira range so far. A Transparent Blue Burst finish sits over a quilted maple top on a roasted poplar body. It also features a Canadian roasted maple neck and matching roasted maple fingerboard. A 14-inch radius, 24 jumbo frets and a 48mm nut complete a modern, performance-focused setup.

Electronics come from a pair of Spira Villain seven-string humbuckers, with a fixed bridge, locking tuners and black hardware.

Joining it is the T-407 MGR, which brings a new Satin Green finish to Spira’s modern T-style seven-string. Until now it was available only in Satin Black, and the new finish gives the model a distinctly different look.

The spec is unchanged: a 26.5-inch scale, roasted poplar body, Canadian roasted maple neck, Ebony Tech fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and Spira Villain seven-string humbuckers, with a fixed bridge and locking tuners. It is still unmistakably T-shaped, just built very firmly for modern metal players.

“Seven-string and extended-range guitars have been one of our strongest growth areas, and Spira has been at the centre of that,” said Lee Alexander, Managing Director of Almires UK. “Players want modern specs, but they also want value. Spira delivers a level of quality and specification at these price points that is very hard to match, and the S-457 and the new T-407 finish give dealers even more to work with in a category with real momentum.”

The Spira S-457 Multiscale TBL has a UK SRP of £439, and the T-407 MGR is £339. Both are available now through Almires UK.
